One I have been chasing for years! I love a good set of earrings that don’t cause ear infections or irritation to the piercing. I’ve definitely been guilty of buying cheap earrings because they’re cute and affordable, because let’s be honest…to get a good pair of earrings can be very pricy, especially if you have multiple piercings like I do!

Like I said above, I’ve always been an earring girly! When I first got my ears pierced, I’d always love to wear big statement earrings. It was a constant argument I had with my mom because she only allowed me to wear age appropriate pieces and that did not include big earrings…which was the right call because I was 8 or 9 when I got my first piercing. But let me tell you…after I turned 18, I wore big statement earrings all the time and I loved them! Although the earrings I’d wear weren’t always great quality but with only one piercing they didn’t seem to bother me as much.

But as I got two more piercings my ears became super sensitive to the metal. I could only wear Sterling silver and I could tell when it was a cheaper pair from Claire’s or Walmart that my ears were still very sensitive. So eventually I stopped wearing big earrings, and as the years went on I stopped wearing earrings, except for special occasions because my ears would hurt so bad after a few hours.

Now, I will say, I try not to put too much sentimental value in items because we are not meant to store our treasures here on earth (Matthew 6:19-20). But every once in a while I enjoy wearing jewelry that had some sort of meaning when I got them. For example, I bought a pair of silver hoops at Claire’s in PARIS, FRANCE! They turned my ears green for a while and hurt like heck to wear but I bought them in Paris with my mom! How could I not wear them?? I also had a ring with a ruby (my birthstone) that my grandpa got me when I went with him to get a special anniversary pair of earrings for my grandma. I still have this ring, I don’t wear it anymore because it broke but it’s a special piece to me, so it’s safely stored in my box…you know the box all of us girls have of special memories 😉 Needless to say I am a sucker for a few sentimental pieces!

So before my trip to Florida, I purchased the Heavenly Hoops and I have to say…I LOVE them! They are the perfect pair of gold hoops that go with any outfit! I’ve worn them every day for weeks now and my ears have not reacted and the gold hasn’t started to tarnish! Which is a Huge Plus! Because I’ve definitely already put them through the washer…oops.
